After all these years I realized everybody is supposed to die.

    In order to retrieve the flower I had to tie stones to my feet and jump in the ocean. After coming across it I pulled it up and brought it to the surface. As I was looking at it I knew I could be immortal. On my way back from the journey I set the flower down to get a drink of water when an evil surpent ate it. I was in complete disbelieve that after all that I had done I got nothing out of it.

     I have come to realize that my own mortality will eventually come to an end. During the time I have left I will search for the secret of imortality. Utnapishtim told me in order to find what I'm looking for I will have to search far and wide for the flower. He says after I have eaten the flower I will never have the fear of dying.

    This morning as I awoke, the pain of losing Enkidu consumed my every thought. Even though I was stuggling I knew I couldn't give up until my quest for immortality was complete. During my journey I came across the abode of Utnapishtim, a virtous man who obeys the gods and was saved by them from The Great Flood.  

   Today Enkidu and I will travel to Cedar Mountain to defeat Humbaba. Humbaba is a monsterous guardian who doesn't allow people in his domain. After killing the Bull of Heaven Enkidu was sentenced to death by the gods as a punishment because of his actions. As his best friend I am feeling very distressed and slowly morning the loss of my best friend. That's all I have for today, tomorrow will be a new beginning as I continue on the journey now alone.
